A few hours ago, VMware presented the final version of its unique virtualization platform, vSphere. As usual, we receive this unique product directly from VMware and provide you with the original name without any interference.
The main server manufacturers, namely HPE and Dell, both offer their customized version of ESXi at the same time as the VMware version, which is available to you in this post.
The biggest change that VMware emphasizes in this version of the method is the possibility of using DPUs and the vSphere Distributed Services Engine, which rents to your virtual infrastructure a part of the calculations that should normally be the responsibility of your network infrastructure, but due to virtualization, it is on the shoulders of CPUs. Take it off their shoulders. If you are interested in knowing what new features we see in version 8 of this unique product, you can visit this page from the VMware website.
Regarding ESXi, as always, both ISO for new installation and Update Bundle for updating your current version are provided.
There has already been a lot of discussion on the site about Offline Bundle and how to install it, so I won't repeat those words and I'll just say that you can use Offline Bundle to update your current ESXi and how to install it is similar to Patches. If you are not familiar with how to install patches, you can refer to my old post and read from there.
In relation to vCenter, Update Bundle is not provided at the moment and considering that we did not see Update Bundle during the Beta phase of this product, so it is very unlikely that it will be provided.
I need to remind you that VMware no longer offers vCenter for Windows Server operating system from version 7, and it is offered only as an Appliance based on Linux, which is VMware vCenter Server Appliance or vCSA for short.
The ISO format is provided to you and it is enough to mount this disk in your operating system and give it the user name and password of your Abuz Hypervisor (which is most likely ESXi) and let it complete the installation.
The second file is the so-called Full Patch or FP, which is provided to you to update your current version. I also explained how to use it in this post .
In addition, if you want to read the Release Notes related to this version of vSphere, you can refer to this page of VMware's official documentation.
I hope it can be useful for our dear colleagues and companions.
In addition, the files are also available through the digiboy vault.
Footnote : Sorry, the serial number file was misplaced when it was added to the post.
Footnote : The vSAN license was added to the v2 license file.
